The hand-pulled beef noodles here are next-level; I found this tiny spot near the river where the broth was so rich and the noodles perfectly chewy. Public buses were packed but super cheap, and I loved how the mix of modern high-rises and old Soviet-style buildings gave the city this gritty, layered feel. Even the smog couldn’t kill the energy of the night markets.
