The energy in Lagos is electric—literally and figuratively. The city pulses with life, from the crowded markets selling spicy suya to the music blasting from roadside speakers. Yes, the traffic is chaotic, but there’s something thrilling about navigating it, watching the city’s relentless motion from the window of a danfo. And when the sun sets over the lagoon, the whole place turns golden—one of those rare moments when even the noise feels like part of the charm.

1Lagos is pure energy—the streets buzz nonstop, and there’s always something happening. I loved grabbing spicy suya from roadside grills while watching the city move at full speed. The Lekki Arts Market was a highlight for me, packed with vibrant fabrics and crafts that show off Nigeria’s creativity. Even the traffic jams felt like part of the experience, with street vendors weaving between cars selling everything from plantain chips to phone chargers.
1Lagos is intense in every way—the traffic is bumper-to-bumper at all hours, and the streets pulse with chaotic energy. The food scene has some amazing local spots serving jollof rice and suya, but hygiene can be hit or miss if you’re not careful. I loved the vibrant markets, though bargaining feels more like combat than shopping. The beaches are beautiful but overcrowded, and the noise never really stops, even at night. There’s a raw, unfiltered energy here, but it’s exhausting if you’re not used to it.
