  Spending time in Taipei feels like being trapped in a humid concrete maze—endless scooter exhaust, oppressive summer heat, and sidewalks that suddenly vanish, forcing you into traffic. The night markets are chaotic and overwhelming, with too many indistinguishable food stalls pushing the same few greasy snacks. Even the famous beef noodle soup starts tasting bland after the third or fourth bowl from different places. The metro is efficient but sterile, and good luck finding anyone smiling back at you after rush hour.
