The old town in Longyan is such a hidden gem—wandering through the narrow streets lined with traditional Hakka tulou-style buildings feels like stepping back in time. I stumbled upon a tiny noodle shop where the owner hand-pulled the dough right in front of me, and the broth was so rich and fragrant. The locals were so warm, offering tea and chatting even though we barely shared a language. Walking along the Ting River at sunset with the mountains in the distance was pure magic.
