  Kingston is a tiny fishing village with a rugged charm, but don’t expect much beyond that. The handful of colorful saltbox houses along the harbor are photogenic, but after an hour, you’ve seen pretty much everything there is to see. The locals are friendly if reserved—don’t be surprised if you get a few curious stares at the general store, since outsiders aren’t exactly common. The fish and chips at the one dockside eatery were decent, though nothing special, and good luck finding much else to eat after 6 PM. It’s peaceful, sure, but you’d better like peace a little too much.
