Vadodara surprised me with its laid-back charm—wide boulevards lined with stunning Indo-Saracenic architecture, especially around the university area. The street food near Nyay Mandir was fantastic, especially the spicy sev usal they serve with thick, buttery pav. Even the auto-rickshaw drivers were friendly and didn't try to overcharge, which made getting around stress-free. The Laxmi Vilas Palace grounds are perfect for an evening stroll, with peacocks strutting around like they own the place.
