Jinhua surprised me—it’s got this laid-back charm that bigger Chinese cities often lack. The Eight Diagram Lane area is a maze of old stone houses and narrow alleys that feel frozen in time, perfect for wandering without a plan. The local food stalls near Wuyi Square serve up killer fried dumplings, crispy on the outside and juicy inside, for barely a few yuan. Even the bus system was easy to figure out, which never happens for me in new places. Spent an afternoon at the Tea Museum sipping local brews surrounded by green hills—total reset button for the soul.
