The towering gopurams of the Nellaiappar Temple are breathtaking, especially when lit up at dusk, and the streets around it buzz with vendors selling the city's famous halwa. I loved how the locals were quick to recommend their favorite spots—no tourist pretenses here. The auto-rickshaw rides were chaotic but efficient, and the food, especially the crispy dosas from small roadside stalls, was some of the best I’ve had in Tamil Nadu. This city feels lived-in and authentic, not polished for visitors, which makes it all the more special.
