The subway system is efficient but the crowds during rush hour are absolutely suffocating – I’ve never been shoved around so much in my life. Even basic restaurants felt overpriced for what you get, and the constant pressure to drink soju at every social outing got exhausting fast. The city never seems to sleep, which is impressive until you realize your hotel windows don’t block out the neon signs flashing all night.
