Port-Vila is such a vibrant little capital—the mix of French and Melanesian culture gives it a unique charm. I loved grabbing fresh baguettes from the local bakeries and eating them by the waterfront, watching fishing boats come in. The market is full of color, with tropical fruits and handmade crafts everywhere. The people here are so warm, always happy to chat or share a smile. Even though it’s small, there’s a surprising energy—especially when live bands play at the bars near the harbor.
