Antalya is a vibrant coastal city in southwestern Turkey, known for its stunning Mediterranean beaches and bustling marina. With a population over 1.3 million, it blends modern resorts with historic Ottoman-era architecture.

The old town in Antalya is charming with its narrow streets and Ottoman houses, but the moment you step out, you're hit with endless construction and aggressive street vendors. The beaches are nice, though overcrowded with resort tourists who never seem to leave their sun loungers. Public transport is cheap but unreliable—I spent half an hour waiting for a tram that just never showed up. The food is decent, though nothing stands out compared to other Turkish cities—lots of overpriced tourist traps near the harbor. It’s a place that feels caught between its history and relentless overdevelopment.
