  • Warsaw surprised me—so much energy and history in one place. The Old Town is stunning, especially knowing it was rebuilt from ruins after the war. I spent hours just wandering the cobbled streets, stopping for pierogi at little milk bars tucked between the colorful buildings. The metro was clean and efficient, which made getting around a breeze. Even the modern skyline, with its sleek glass towers, has a bold, ambitious feel to it. Definitely a city with layers. The nightlife here is way more vibrant than I expected. Found this underground bar playing jazz in a brick cellar near Nowy Świat—just the right mix of cool and unpretentious. Locals were happy to chat over craft beer, and prices were way cheaper than back home. Warsaw doesn’t shout about its charms, but once you dig in, they’re everywhere. Loved how green the city felt, even in the center. Łazienki Park was perfect for a quiet afternoon, watching peacocks strut past Chopin’s statue. And the people? Warm but no-nonsense—exactly my kind of vibe. Already planning my next trip back.
