  • Walking through Tbilisi's cobbled streets feels like stepping into a living painting—old wooden balconies leaning over alleyways, sulfur baths steaming below, and the Narikala Fortress watching over it all. The mix of Persian, Ottoman, and Soviet architecture keeps my camera busy at every turn. Best of all? A glass of amber qvevri wine at a tucked-away courtyard bar costs less than a coffee back home. The metro here is Soviet-era quirky—deep escalators, ornate stations, and a single flat fare no matter how far you go. Locals might not smile at first, but offer a toast at a supra (feast) and suddenly you’ve got friends handing you more khinkali than you can possibly eat.
