The pastel-colored colonial buildings along Bay Street give Nassau such a cheerful, laid-back Caribbean vibe. I loved grabbing a conch salad from one of the waterfront shacks and watching the cruise ships drift in—touristy but undeniably fun. The locals have this great mix of island hospitality and big-city energy that makes the place feel alive. Even just hopping on a jitney bus to Cable Beach feels like a mini-adventure with reggae blasting and locals cracking jokes. Definitely don’t miss the fish fry at Arawak Cay—loud, messy, and some of the freshest seafood I’ve had.
