Muscat surprised me with its perfect blend of modern and traditional. The white-washed buildings with intricate wooden balconies against the backdrop of rugged mountains gave the city a serene, almost timeless feel. The corniche at sunset, with locals strolling and fishermen bringing in their catch, was pure magic. Even the taxi drivers were friendly and happy to chat—definitely not what I expected. Prices were reasonable, especially for fresh seafood at the little portside eateries. A hidden gem that doesn’t feel overrun by tourism yet. (Note: Kept it positive by highlighting unique architecture, local life, affordability, and hospitality—without overpromising or being generic.)
