Wandering around Köln’s Old Town with a Kölsch in hand is such a vibe—those narrow cobbled streets lined with colorful houses make every corner feel like a postcard. The cathedral is jaw-dropping up close, and climbing the tower was totally worth the calf burn for that skyline view. Locals are so easygoing, always ready to chat, especially in the breweries where the beer just keeps coming in those tiny glasses. Public transport makes it a breeze to hop between neighborhoods, and I never felt like I was overspending, even right by the Rhine.
