  I was surprised by how green Gaborone is—wide boulevards lined with jacaranda trees make even the busiest parts feel relaxed. The Main Mall has this great mix of modern shops and traditional basket weavers selling vibrant crafts right on the sidewalk. Public minibuses are chaotic but dirt cheap, and drivers will actually help you figure out your stop if you ask.
