Dammam, the capital of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, is a bustling city with a population of over 1.2 million. Known for its strategic location along the Persian Gulf, it serves as a major commercial and cultural hub in the region. The city is a gateway to the Kingdom's oil industry and offers a mix of modernity and tradition.

Dammam has this strange energy—modern but not quite lively, sprawling but not exactly vibrant. The corniche is pleasant enough for an evening stroll, though it lacks the buzz of other Gulf waterfronts. Found some decent local seafood spots, but you really have to hunt for them between all the generic fast-food chains. The people were friendly when approached, but public spaces often felt oddly empty for a city this size. Felt like it couldn’t decide between being a business hub or a destination.
