Calgary’s skyline with the Rockies in the distance never gets old. Even just walking downtown, you get this mix of modern glass towers and old sandstone buildings that give the city some real character. The food scene surprised me—way more than just steak, with some great Vietnamese and Syrian spots tucked into unassuming strip malls. And yeah, the winters are cold, but the way the city embraces it with outdoor skating paths and winter festivals makes it kinda fun.
