Brussels surprised me—it’s way more than just EU bureaucracy. The mix of grand Art Nouveau buildings and quirky comic murals gives the city this cool, artsy vibe. I spent way too much time just wandering and stumbling into tiny chocolate shops where the pralines were almost too pretty to eat. Almost. The tram system is smooth and easy to figure out, which made hopping between neighborhoods a breeze. And yeah, the fries really are that good—especially when you grab them from a random street stand and eat them in a cobblestone square with a beer in hand.
